Paul Green started his career as a chef almost by accident, over a game of backgammon. He played backgammon with a French chef who in turn for sharing his gaming secrets soon taught him his secrets in the kitchen. Paul admits he fell in love with the kitchen and cooking became his passion in life and in turn, that passion became a lifelong career. He spent most of his career in fine-dining establishments that typically seated no more than 50 guests, allowing him to create original masterpieces night after night. Paul's real passion is to create new dishes and to have satisfied diners.
What prompted Paul Green to leave the kitchen and start a website featuring opportunities for chefs? Simply age, as he grew older Paul noticed that jobs were becoming harder to come by as the younger workers had the edge and his experienced wasn't considered a plus in the recruitment process. He noticed that he was getting passed over for jobs where he was clearly qualified and that hiring managers we looking at his skills less and his age more. He leaned that some of his best attributes wisdom and experience were actually keeping him from finding a position. Employers were looking past his skills and wisdom and only looking at his age.
